Ecuador's controversial World Cup soccer referee Byron Moreno, who has just returned from a 20-game domestic ban, has been suspended again for his latest performance.
Moreno, who was in charge of the stormy second-round match between South Korea and Italy at last year's World Cup, dismissed three players from visiting Deportivo Quito during their 1-1 draw at Deportivo Cuenca last Sunday.
It was Moreno's third match back following the previous ban, which was imposed in September after he added on 12 minutes of injury time during the game between Liga de Quito and Barcelona.
Liga de Quito took advantage as they scored in the 99th and 101st minutes to win 4-3.
Moreno, who at the time was a candidate in elections for Quito's city council, was accused of mixing sport and politics by Guayaquil-based Barcelona.
