Skiing: Riegler calls it quits

New Zealand slalom skier Claudia Riegler has retired from the world circuit after a career that included four individual World Cup wins.

Her decision, announced on Austrian television, was confirmed by her New Zealand-born mother Alice Riegler, of Salzburg.

"She's been skiing in World Cup events for nine years and she just wants to move on and do other things," Alice Riegler said.
