New Zealand para skier Adam Hall has won a silver medal at the World Cup slalom event in Kuhtai, Austria.
Hall, of Wanaka, producecd two solid runs to take his place on the podium.
He finished behind Aleksei Bugaev, competing under the neutral flag, and France's Arthur Bauchet took third.
Hall is one of four athletes representing New Zealand at the Paralympics in South Korea in March, along with New Plymouth's Corey Peters, Aaron Ewen of Auckland and snowboarder Carl Murphy of Wanaka.
Poor weather has frustrated skiers at the start of the northern hemisphere season.
''After two week so not being able to race it was good to finally get a solid slalom race in my pockedt and finish wtih a pretty decent result,'' Hall said. ''It's been good to put our feelers out and see where I stand early season.''
Hall will race again in another cup slalom at the same venue tomorrow.
