Team New Zealand stopover in Dubai before returning home

Team New Zealand have stopped over in Dubai to celebrate their victorious America's Cup campaign with sponsors Emirates.

Peter Burling and his crew are set to arrive in New Zealand tomorrow before taking part in a parade in Auckland's CBD.

Emirates Airline - based in Dubai - have been the major sponsor of Team New Zealand since 2004 including three America's Cup campaigns.

The team visited the Emirates headquarters today, meeting the company president Sir Tim Clark.

Thursday's parade, which will feature the Auld Mug and members of the triumphant Team New Zealand, will make its way along Queen St in the central city.

Team New Zealand will then take to the water for a sail past, which would give fans and spectators a unique vantage point from which to welcome the team home.
