Second Prada yacht afloat

Miucca Prada launched Luna Rossa ITA80, the second cup yacht of Italian challenger Prada, at a private ceremony in Auckland yesterday.

Prada, the wife of syndicate head Patrizio Bertelli, christened the boat by smashing a bottle of champagne across its bow.

The boat, which was covered by a skirt, was then lowered into the Viaduct Harbour.

The syndicate's first yacht, ITA74, was launched in Italy. Both boats are expected to be sailing early next month.
