One of the world's largest sports betting agencies has Alinghi at better odds to win the America's Cup.
Centrebet has Alinghi at favourites to win the series 5-2.
Emirates Team New Zealand and Alinghi are locked all square at 2-2 in the best of nine series, 2-1, afterAlinghi sailed back strongly to take Race Four this morning in Valencia, Spain.
But Centrebet has reserved its best odds for Alinghi to win the series 5-2 ($3.75), 5-3 ($5.00) and 5-4 ($5.50). All its odds are better than those for Team New Zealand which is paying $5.75 for a 5-1 victory.
Centrebet, based in Alice Springs, Australia and one of the best known and largest online sports betting agencies, effectively predicted that Alinghi would take Race 4, ailed at 1am Thursday, New Zealand Time.
Centrebet paid $1.72 for an Alinghi win in Race 4 and only $2.05 for Team New Zealand.
Its best odds were for a close Alinghi victory under 30 seconds.
Another Australian betting agency, Sportingbet, has similar odds.
It picked an Alinghi victory in Race Four with odds of $1.73 for an Alinghi win and $2.05 for Team New Zealand.
