After thrashing Oracle in the first two races of the America's Cup final, Peter Burling got another one over Jimmy Spithill with a near-perfect photobomb.

Spithill was in the middle of a post-race interview with Sailor Girl HQ when Burling pulled the peace sign over his competitor's shoulder as he walked past behind.

Sailor Girl HQ's Nic Douglass, world champion sailor and presenter, later congratulated Burling on the photobomb.

After being shared on Tony Veitch's facebook page, the photo got 2200 reactions.

Facebook commenters applauded the cheeky action saying, "Only time Burling will be behind Spithill" and "Is this Victory ... Peace ... or we just won the first two??"
