Team New Zealand have extended their lead in the America's Cup World Series with a second place finish in the final regatta of the year in Bermuda this morning.
A poor opening race ultimately cost the Kiwi syndicate top place on the podium, as Artemis claimed their first regatta victoryby just two points.
Emirates Team NZ responded well in the final two races of the day, picking up a second and a first.
Racing was abandoned on the opening day due to light winds, meaning three races were held on the double-points final day.
With Artemis, which is skippered by Peter Burling and Blair Tuke's main rival in the 49er class - Australian Nathan Outteridge, having struggled in the early regattas, the result still meant Emirates Team New Zealand built their overall lead in the series heading into next year.
