Blair Tuke has celebrated his America's Cup win in a time-honoured way - by jumping off a jetty.

Ahead of decamping to Team New Zealand headquarters for more serious partying with glass in hand, Tuke was among a group of Kiwis who let their hair down after the 7-1 trouncing of Oracle.

Tuke joined other New Zealanders in taking a dip in the Bermuda waters in celebration of the Auld Mug coming back to our shores.

The Olympic gold medallist and his Rio team-mate Peter Burling played huge roles in Team NZ's triumph.

Burling has drawn an avalanche of deserved praise for his helmsmanship of Team NZ but astute sailing observers, along with Burling himself, have repeatedly drawn attention to Tuke's and skipper Glenn Ashby's contribution.

It was a family affair for the Northland sailor.

His mother Sandra and brothers, Jesse and Nathan who were dressed in Kiwi costumes, were onsite to wish Blair luck as Team NZ docked out for this morning's Cup-sealing race.
