America's Cup: So far, so good but it ain't over yet

Okay 3-0 up. Sounds promising if you're an Emirates Team New Zealand fan but we've been here before, right?

I'm sure the team from San Francisco haven't forgotten and I'm certain Jimmy Spithill and Oracle Team USA haven't either.

The cocky Australian was complimentary of the speed shown by Emirates Team New Zealand yesterday morning but he promised this thing was far from over. He pointed out that they found themselves in a worse position and with less time to fix things in San Francisco back in 2013. We all remember how that turned out.

But Emirates Team New Zealand is aware of that danger now too. They will spend the next five days working hard trying to counter any improvements Oracle Team USA makes.

For the past four years we have heard how Emirates Team New Zealand learned lessons from the devastating defeat to Spithill and Oracle Team USA in the last America's Cup - the next five days will not be spent planning a victory party. There are no points up for grabs but these five days may prove the most vital.

Beautiful sunshine, no rain, no thunderstorms and no breeze - well that's what Emirates Team New Zealand is thinking for the next five days anyway. We can worry about the weather on Sunday when racing resumes.
