And still we wait.

The third day of the Louis Vuitton Cup has been postponed due to no wind.

The constant postponements have thrown the schedule into disarray. Teams will now race twice a day during the second round.

Maybe the bonus points - which teams earned during the 13 pre-regattas - will end up coming into play.

This all bodes well for Alinghi.

The aim of the challenger series is to find the strongest challenger to take the America's Cup off the defender. At this rate the challenger that gets to the match will be so knackered having crammed in so many races a day, that Alinghi will start with the advantage of being fresh.

But the mood in the America's Cup community is still bouyant. There is still plenty of banter going on amongst the teams and race committee.

Yesterday some of the race committee dressed up and the television commentators gave them ratings. In typical America's Cup fashion the ratings were always disputed.
