Sailing: Slater holding third place

New Zealand Finn sailor Dan Slater improved to third place after the second day of the ISAF grade one Breitling Regatta at Medemblik, Holland.

Slater improved seven spots from 10th in a fleet of 64 after winning the first race of the day and finishing fifth in the other in shifty conditions.

Three other New Zealanders are in the top in their classes. Women's boardsailing talent Kate Ellingham is sixth after finishing from third to eighth in her four races so far. Rohan Lord and Miles Addy are in eighth place overall in the Star class and Michael Bullot is ninth in the Laser fleet.
