Lote Tuqiri fended off a bombardment of questions regarding his playing future yesterday, declaring he would shed no light on his decision to stick with rugby or return to league until after the Super 12.
The Wallabies and Waratahs wing has been continually linked with a return to league with his
former club the Brisbane Broncos at the end of the season, when his two-year contract ends with the Australian Rugby Union.
Tuqiri is tiring of being quizzed about his plans, reiterating at a Waratahs media conference he was purely concentrating on the last two rounds of the Super 12 - starting with tomorrow's visit of the Highlanders to Aussie Stadium.
"I keep getting asked the same question every week and I keep giving the same answer. I'm no closer than when I was a month ago. I won't make a decision until after the Super 12 when things die down a little bit," he said.
Tuqiri also distanced himself from comments made by Broncos chief executive Bruno Cullen, who claimed the Fijian-born superstar preferred league.
He earns around A$450,000 ($528,000) a season in rugby, which is about A$150,000 to $200,000 more than he could expect to get by returning to the Broncos.
