• Super 15 rugby final tickets snapped up in seconds
• Would you buy from a scalper?
Tickets would be for the bronze category and limited to two per person, to give those loyal fans who queued up to purchase, more chance of being successful. There have been grumblings around tickets being scalped after the first batch of tickets sold out quickly yesterday.
Te Puni said it was only fitting to hold the occasion at Te Papa, given the Hurricanes are creating history, having not played a home Super Rugby final before.
"This really is a historic match for not only the club, but the people of Wellington and our fans that span the eight provinces within our Hurricanes family.
"We hope in some way this extra ticket option will give some of those who missed out yesterday, the opportunity to get to the game and enjoy the spectacle it's going to be."
Te Papa's chief executive Rick Ellis said the national museum was happy to help support such an exciting occasion.
"Many would count the Highlanders and Hurricanes among our national treasures, so we are thrilled to help celebrate this historic match."
