Super 14: Highlanders lose to Lions

The Highlanders have ensured they will again finish the worst of the New Zealand franchises in the Super 14 after a 27-22 loss to the Lions in Johannesburg.

The Lions scored 22 unanswered points in the second-half after trailing 22-5 early in the second-half.

Highlanders captain Jimmy Cowan is frustrated about his side's fourth straight loss. He says the players only have themselves to blame after leading 19-5 at halftime.

The defending champion Crusaders have moved up to fourth on the Super 14 ladder for at least the time being with a 32-12 bonus point win over the Reds in Christchurch.
