Rugby: Trio close to re-signing with Hurricanes

The boss of Wellington Rugby is adamant they'll keep their three key players for the coming years.

Halfback Piri Weepu's voiced his frustration with the union who he says have failed to put a contract in front of him.

He believes the likes of Cory Jane, Hosea Gear and Aaron Cruden are in the same boat.

Wellington Rugby CEO James Te Puni says three of the four will sign on.

He says as well as Weepu, Jane and Gear are close to re-committing.
