Rugby: Ref happy with ELVs

Top referee Lyndon Bray is more than satisfied with how the experimental law variations have worked after just one round of the Rebel Sport Super 14.

Bray was the referee at Eden Park last night as the Blues beat the Chiefs 32-14.

He said certain laws are making the game easier to referee.

Bray said at the breakdown he no longer has to continually talk to the players and that gives him more time to think about what has actually happening.

Mr Bray said he had a great response from both captains about the experimental law variations during the game.
