Hurricanes and Hawkes Bay first five Ihaia West has announced his engagement to long-time girlfriend Danielle Grace.
The 26-year-old Maori All Black posted the announcement on Instagram along with a picture of him and his partner.
"Burnt her hand so I decided to put some ice on it," West wroteon the social media site.
West made 45 appearances for the Blues before signing with the Hurricanes this season, where he started at first five for the absent Beauden Barrett in the first game of the season.
Last year, West scored the game-winning try for the Blues against the British and Irish Lions to hand the Lions their first defeat on tour.
