Another New Zealand rugby team is heading to the United States.
The Crusaders have confirmed a match with England's Saracens at the Superdome in New Orleans in August.
CEO Hamish Riach says they were initially approached about a potential fixture before Christmas.
Riach says with the ITM Cup kicking off a fortnight later, Canterbury coach Scott Robertson will also make the trip.
"He's very much part of the group that's going to be going to New Orleans as we have to be fair to Scott and the Canterbury team's preparations."
The timing of the match, in between the Super Rugby and ITM Cup seasons, means that a Crusaders Knights team made up of those players assembled in Christchurch at that time will travel to New Orleans.
"This will be an amazing opportunity for some of our local players to be involved in such a unique event. There is a real appetite for rugby in the US at the moment, so I am sure that the game will be well supported. We are proud to be a part of this showcase event, especially playing a club as historically significant as Saracens," said Crusaders CEO Hamish Riach.
