Steve Fisher's letter matches the sentiments of a number of Blues fans on the team's official Facebook page during the week.
Malcolm Samuels wrote: The very thought of keeping Kirwan as coach makes me sick. We should boycott the rest of the Blues home games if it is announced that JK is staying, our season is shot anyway. If the Blues are gonna ignore us fans, we should do the same to them.
While Nicholas James added: We lost all eight matches on the road this season. Unacceptable. Since Sir JK took over in 2013 we have only won 2 of 24 matches away from home. This franchise needs an overhaul from top to bottom otherwise we are turning into the North Harbour Rugby Union."
There are some fans who defended Kirwan.
Brent Stanford wrote: "Stop blaming the coach some players are making selfish and dumb decisions on the track."
