The fleet-footed Caleb Ralph will be back in a Crusaders jersey for a sixth Super 12 rugby season next year.
Ralph, 27, has signed a New Zealand Rugby Union contract committing himself to the Mainlanders after first coming to the region as a draft player in 2000.
"I love it down here
but I did have to reassess whether I wanted to give the Super 12 another crack," he says.
The Crusaders are the third Super 12 franchise Ralph has appeared for.
He debuted for the Chiefs as a teenager and then playing for the Blues in the 1998 final against the Crusaders.
He still has hopes of a return to the All Blacks.
