McCaw ruled out of Highlanders match

Crusaders captain Richie McCaw has been ruled out of Saturday's South Island Super 12 derby against the Highlanders in Dunedin.

Coach Robbie Deans confirmed that McCaw - who has not played since he was knocked out by Bulls prop Richard Bands last month - would be on the sidelines at Carisbrook.

Deans will not predict when the All Black flanker will return.
