The youngest member of the Welsh squad is maintaining a tradition dating back to the 1600s - well before rugby was invented.
Squad "baby" Huw Bennett, 20, is expected to carry an 80cm long wooden "love spoon" to all social gatherings and make a speech at the end of the function.
The tradition dates back to 1667 and each spoon carries a number of carvings which signify Wales as a nation.
"They [team-mates] all have a laugh at me when I mess up in the speech," Bennett said.
