There's a contest on - but someone forgot to tell Victorians.
A month away from the start of the Rugby World Cup, tickets just aren't selling in Melbourne - particularly for the two quarter-finals to be played there.
Almost 30,000 tickets are still available for the two quarter-finals at Melbourne's Telstra Dome.
Those two quarter-finals are likely to be New Zealand against South Africa and France against Ireland or Argentina - both attractive games to any rugby fan.
Australian Rugby Union chief John O'Neill said it was hard to make headway in the Victorian market during the AFL season and cup promotion would intensify once the grand final was over.
"We'll let them [AFL] have their time in the sun first."
