Tonga hammered South Korea 75-0 to virtually book their place in the rugby World Cup in Australia in October.
Spain also edged a step closer to qualifying after beating Tunisia 33-16 in Agen, France, taking them to a two-leg playoff against the United States for the final place in the 20-team tournament.
The Tongans, coached by New Zealander Jim Love, ran in 12 tries to make the second leg of the playoff next weekend in Nuku'alofa a virtual formality.
The winner of the playoff will take the last World Cup place in group D, containing Wales, New Zealand, Italy and Canada.
