Hopeful Kiwi punters have bet just over $3 million on the All Blacks final against Australia.
Helping boost the final number was a whopping $400,000 bet on Saturday morning for the Kiwi team to win the Rugby World Cup.
The gamble has certainly paid off as the lucky bet will
rake in an extra $140,000 after the All Blacks took home the Webb-Ellis trophy.
Mystery surrounds the person who placed the hefty bet. The person, believed to be from the North Island, has been described as fiercely private.
The bet has broken New Zealand's sports betting record, with the last big bet a mere $220,000 put on Brazil to beat China in the 2002 Fifa World Cup.
