Rugby: USA's Clever cited for foul play

USA flanker Todd Clever has been cited in respect of an incident of foul play.

The citing relates to an alleged breach of Law 10.4(e) dangerous tackling and Law 10.4(g) dangerous charging during the Rugby World Cup 2011 Pool C match against Russia on September 15.

The team has been informed and the case will be heard by the Independent Judicial Officer Judge Jeff Blackett of England.

The hearing will take place at the Vero Centre in Auckland. The time and date will be confirmed later today.

The Eagles are currently tied second-place with Ireland on four points in Pool C and take on the Wallabies next Friday at Wellington's Westpac Stadium.
