PARIS - France coach Bernard Laporte limped into the news conference room on Saturday, a day after his team beat Ireland 25-3 to keep alive their World Cup hopes.

"He twisted his ankle playing football on Tuesday," France manager Jo Maso told reporters. "He didn't do anything about it and now he's paying for it."
