There were 10 minutes left in the quarter-final and the All Blacks led 18-13 thanks to a Rodney So'oialo try on 63 minutes.
The All Blacks weren't comfortable at that stage, but they did appear to have things just about under control. That was until France had a midfield scrum
on their own 10m line.
They shovelled left despite being under pressure and fullback Damien Traile came at the line hard. The All Blacks defence was slow to cover but when they got to him, he threw the most outrageous forward pass to first-five Freddie Michalak. He twisted and turned until he was able to pass to Yannick Jauzion who scored.
