Rugby: Wallabies captain Gregan to join Toulon

PARIS - Australia captain George Gregan will play for Toulon next season, the French second division club said today.

The 33-year-old Wallabies halfback, who has played a world record 127 internationals, has agreed to play for Toulon for six months, from November 2007 to April 2008, the club said in a statement.

Toulon are second in the second division and hope to be in the top flight by the time Gregan joins.

Former New Zealand captain Tana Umaga played for them for a few months last year.
