New Zealand have successfully negotiated their quarterfinal against Wales at the International Rugby Sevens at Westpac Stadium in Wellington this afternoon.
The Gordon-Tietjens coached side crushed Wales 40-5. The New Zealanders scored six tries to one.
New Zealand will meet either Scotland or Australia in the semifinal later today.
The other semifinallists will be found from the South Africa vs Tonga match and Fiji's game against defending champions Samoa.
