The IRB has announced Scotland will host a leg of the Sevens World Series for the next five years.
The Scottish Rugby Union has awarded the 2006-07 event to Edinburgh, with Murrayfield staging the final tournament of the series on June 2nd and 3rd next year.
The announcement completes the IRB Sevens World Series schedule.
Once again the Series will comprise eight tournaments, kicking-off in Dubai on December 1 and visiting George in South Africa, Wellington, San Diego, Hong Kong, Adelaide and London before concluding with the event in Edinburgh.
