The New Zealand sevens team has comfortably progressed to the quarterfinals of the World Cup in Dubai.
Gordon Tietjens' side beat Tonga 24-7 in their final group match, following on from their 41-5 drubbing of the Arabian Gulf to open day two action.
New Zealand will face Wales in the quarterfinals tomorrow but will almost certainly be without Hurricanes loose forward Victor Vito who has suffered a calf injury. New Zealand coach Gordon Tietjens hopes he will recover quickly.
"At the moment he is certainly ruled out and I couldn't play him today. It will depend on what happens overnight. He's being looked at and treated by a physio."
Tietjens expects to know today what Vito's chances are of playing in the quarterfinals.
In the other quarterfinals, Fiji will play against Kenya, England faces Samoa and Argentina plays against South Africa.
