KEY POINTS:
New Zealand limped into the semifinals of the International Rugby Board sevens tournament in Wellington today with a 14-7 win over England in their quarterfinal.
Their opponents will be Fiji, who thrashed Canada 60-0 in a quarterfinal performance that was a far cry from the home side's struggles at Westpac Stadium.
The scores were locked 7-7 at halftime before New Zealand captain Tafai Ioasa scored the decisive try two minutes into the second spell.
However, his team's chances in the tournament took a blow in the closing stages as two key players -- Nigel Hunt and Zar Lawrence -- limped from the field carrying apparent leg injuries.
Earlier, Lote Raikabula opened the scoring with a try inside 2min but England replied on the stroke of halftime through Danny Gray.
Fiji scored 10 tries to beat the Canadians, giving them 192 points in just four games at the tournament.
The other semifinal will pit Samoa against South Africa.
The Samoans scored a last-ditch try to beat Kenya 26-21 in their quarterfinal while South Africa held off a game France 26-14.
