New Zealand Sevens coach Gordon Tietjens is confident his team can prevail at this week's Wellington sevens.
The New Zealanders won the opening two rounds on the IRB circuit and Tietjens is happy about the balance of his side going into the tournament, with only three not havingplayed there before.
He said it is one of the most experienced sides he has taken into the Wellington event.
Nigel Hunt is expected to have his fitness confirmed today, meaning one player will be dropped from the 13 man squad.
Hunt had suffered an ankle injury in training this week but Tietjens said his chances of playing are getting better.
Although Hunt has not played a warm-up match, Tietjens said his rehabilitation is going well.
Nerves are already growing in the New Zealand camp, with the home side favourites to win their third straight tournament on the IRB.
New Zealand has performed strongly in Wellington over recent years, although last year's final was a hugely popular win for Samoa over Fiji.
The pool matches are played on Friday, with finals day on Saturday.
