New Zealand has won its first IRB Sevens title since Singapore 2005.
Gordon Tietjens' side has beaten hosts South Africa 24-17 in the final at the George tournament, after it was five-all at halftime.
New Zealand beat Fiji 29-12 in their semifinal, while South Africa beat England 10-7 in the other.
To make things better it is Tietjens' birthday.
