NZ advance to semifinals of LA sevens

New Zealand will face Australia in the semifinals of the Los Angeles sevens rugby tournament after beating Fiji 21-17 in their quarterfinal today (Sunday US time).

Australia advanced to the final four after beating France 24-5.

It is the first time Australia has made the semifinals of an International Rugby Board tournament since the Wellington Sevens last year.

New Zealand won the Wellington tournament last weekend.

England also made the semifinals beating Samoa 28-7 and face Argentina who downed South Africa 7-5.
