3rd minute: All Blacks prop Greg Somerville penalised for entering a powerful Lions lineout drive from the side. Stephen Jones goals from 20m. Lions 3-0.

8th: Lions lock Donncha O'Callaghan butchers a certain try when he ignores a three-man overlap and is tackled 1m short. All Blacks captain Tana Umaga penalised and given 10 minutes in the sinbin for killing the ball. Jones goals from in front. Lions 6-0.

10th: Slick solo try from All Blacks centre Conrad Smith who ghosts through a gap and steps inside fullback Geordan Murphy to score under the posts. Luke McAlister converts from in front. All Blacks 7-6.

14th: McAlister sets up All Blacks' second try with a crossfield grubber which Lions halfback Dwayne Peel fumbles and lock Ali Williams dives on the loose ball. McAlister converts from handy position. All Blacks 14-6.

16th: All Blacks penalised for killing the ball, Jones goals from 22m. All Blacks 14-9.

20th: Lions marched 10m by referee Jonathan Kaplan after backchat from No 8 Ryan Jones. McAlister goals penalty kick from 35m. All Blacks 17-9.

22nd: Jones kicks his fourth consecutive penalty from 40m after Byron Kelleher fails to release the ball in a tackle. All Blacks 17-12.

39th: All Blacks strike hammer blow just before the break when McAlister jinks inside his opposite Jones from a scrum and offloads to Umaga to score beside the posts. McAlister converts. All Blacks 24-12.

Halftime: All Blacks 24-12.

41st: All Blacks loose forward Sione Lauaki departs with a knee injury, replaced by Marty Holah.

48th: Umaga scores his second try after steaming onto a short ball from replacement halfback Justin Marshall and crashing over beside the posts. McAlister converts. All Blacks 31-12.

51st: Lions captain Gareth Thomas replaced by Shane Horgan, with lock Paul O'Connell taking over the captaincy.

54th: Controversy as wing Sitiveni Sivivatu scores after gathering a raking left foot kick from Chris Jack, but try disallowed. Touch judge Stuart Dickinson rules a late shoulder charge by Jerry Collins on Stephen Jones, Lions awarded penalty and Collins sinbinned.

59th: Flanker Lewis Moody scores the Lions' first try from a lineout drive after they turn down a shot at goal. Jones converts. All Blacks 31-19.

70th: Hooker Gordon Bulloch becomes the first Scot to play in the test series when he replaces Shane Byrne.

80th: Wing Rico Gear compounds the Lions' misery with brilliant solo effort, intercepting a pass on halfway, chipping ahead and winning the race to the ball in the right corner. McAlister converts on the fulltime hooter for perfect six from six goalkicking record.
