All Blacks captain Kieran Read has kept his message to his young and inexperienced side simple this week.
He's told the troops to trust in themselves, play their own game and be confident about who they are.
Hidden in that is a confidence within Read that while the All Blackshave made multiple changes, the men who have come in are capable of their own heroics.
A veteran of more than 100 tests, Read knows that more often than not, relatively unknown and inexperienced players tend to surpass expectation when they slip on a black jersey.
That doesn't happen by chance, but because there is genuine strength in depth and when new players are able to be confident enough to play what they see, the results often far exceed expectation.
He's been particularly supportive of first-five Richie Mo'unga and his back-row compatriots Shannon Frizell and Ardie Savea.
Mo'unga is making his first start, Frizell his second and while Savea has been around for a lot longer, he's under a little bit of pressure to prove he can handle the starting duties of a test openside.
"It has been an awesome week," Read said. "The way we repay that is hopefully with an awesome performance. There's a spark there and we need to make sure that we turn up with a great attitude and a lot of physicality as the Argentineans are here to come out and play hard. We know that so we will need to focus on what we bring.
"He's [Mo'unga] pretty calm and it is tough coming in and trying to run the ship as a young player. But he's certainly able to have those conversations when they need to be had and that has impressed me. So I have told him to go out and play his game as if it is for the Crusaders and he will do a great job.
"They [Frizell and Savea] are different players but from our point of view in the All Blacks there is a certain role that you fill whatever position you fill.
"But we don't want to change them as players but they have roles to fulfil and they bring different skillsets and I am sure when little moments happen we will see that little bit of brilliance that those two players bring."
Read emphasised that his young team will have little choice but to find their best form as the Pumas are a side on the rise with considerable confidence and capabilities.
"I think over the last few years and this year they have got a lot of continuity coming out of the Jaguares and a side that knocks over the South Africans is a good side. They will have lots of confidence and we have to be aware of that."
