Beauden Barrett sits on 99 tests and if picked to play Wales in Cardiff on Sunday he will join an elusive club, becoming the 11th New Zealander to reach 100 tests in black.

Frenchman Philippe Sella became the first player to reach the 100-test milestone in 1994 against the All Blacks, a shocking 22-8 victory at Lancaster Park. Since then another 70 players have played 100 or more tests.

Richie McCaw became the first All Black to reach the achievement, playing his 100th against France in a pool match at the 2011 World Cup. At the time he was the 19th player in world rugby to reach the milestone. Mils Muliaina did it two weeks later against Argentina.

In the 10 years since, 51 more players have done it. Barrett will become the 72nd player to crack the hundred and the 11th New Zealander after Aaron Smith reached the milestone earlier this year. Australia has the most century-makers with 13.

England's Owen Farrell also sits on 99 and should make it 100 in the coming weeks.

Alun Wyn Jones is set to surpass Richie McCaw for most tests for one nation when Wales play the All Blacks in Cardiff. The Wales skipper has played 148 tests for his country and 160 in total including 12 outings for the British and Irish Lions.

Of his 99 tests, Barrett has started 62 and gone the full 80 minutes in 48 of those starts. When he faced the USA on Sunday it was the 17th test nation he has played for the All Blacks.

Barrett has played Australia on 23 occasions, in which he has scored 11 tries and amassed 156 points. He has officially played 100 'games' for New Zealand, leading the side against the Barbarians in 2017, a match that didn't have test status.
