Two Kiwi sporting legends had a chance encounter at Auckland Airport last night.
Former Team New Zealand skipper Dean Barker bumped into All Black captain Richie McCaw as the rugby team prepared to fly out for Saturday's encounter with the Wallabies.
The Bledisloe Cup is up for grabs, along withthe Rugby Championship, when the teams go head to head at ANZ Stadium in Sydney.
Barker, who is now skipper of Team Japan, was at the international departure lounge with his family, preparing to fly to Los Angeles. He chatted to McCaw for five minutes and introduced young family members to the All Black before the two men went their separate ways.
The Wallabies will be in Auckland the following weekend for the second Bledisloe Cup test at Eden Park.
