Tuesday marked seven years since the All Blacks last lost a test at home, an impressive record that reached 43rd straight tests last weekend.

They take on the Springboks on Saturday in Christchurch, the last side to win on New Zealand soil.

We break down the winning streak.

Sequence to savour

• The All Blacks' last defeat on home soil was against South Africa in Hamilton 2009 when the Springboks won 32-29. Back then I Gotta Feeling by Black Eyed Peas was the number one song and The Hangover was a big hit at the box office.

• Of the 43 straight victories the closest wins were the 8-7 victory over France in the 2011 Rugby World Cup final and the 28-27 victory over England in Dunedin in June 2014. Only four other teams have got within single figures of the All Blacks during the streak.

• The 43 tests include 10 against Australia and six against South Africa. The only Top 10 nations that don't feature are Scotland and Fiji.

• 15 of the victories were played at Eden Park where the All Blacks haven't lost since July 3, 1994 - a 36-match unbeaten streak.

• The most points conceded by the All Blacks during the streak is the 33 scored by Australia in 2013. The next best is Ireland who lost 66-28 in New Plymouth in 2010.

• The 43-test run began with a win over Australia in the final game of the 2009 Tri-Nations, played at Westpac Stadium. The All Blacks cruised to victory 33-6. Names in the All Blacks side that day included Isaia Toeava, Joe Rokocoko, Jimmy Cowan, Aled de Malmanche, Jason Eaton and Tom Donnelly - on debut. Kieran Read is the only player from Saturday's match who also appeared in that test.

• The streak covers matches at nine different stadiums and seven cities, including the final test matches at Carisbrook and Lancaster Park.

• Read has played in 35 of the 43 tests.

• During the same timeframe the All Blacks have played 41 tests away or on neutral soil and have lost just six, including two draws.

• During the same timeframe, South Africa have lost eight times on home soil, England 13 defeats and Australia 15.

• Going further back, the All Blacks have lost just six tests of their last 100 tests on home soil, stretching back to 1999.

• The All Blacks have scored at least 28 points in 14 of their last 16 tests at home.

• The All Blacks have scored 184 tries in the 43 tests, an average of 4.2 tries a test. The average scoreline is 36-13.

Also...

• Steven Hansen's All Blacks now have a 14-test unbeaten run dating back to their last defeat to the Wallabies in Sydney last year. It is the fifth time since 2006 that the All Blacks have won at least 14-straight tests.

Sam Cane (37 tests), TJ Perenara (22), Aaron Cruden (42), Tawera Kerr-Barlow (21) and Ryan Crotty (20), have all played at least 20 tests and experienced just one defeat each.

• Under Hansen the All Blacks have a 93.33% win-loss record with 55 wins in 60 matches, three defeats and two draws.
