37th minute: A ruck had formed with Australiain possession. Crockett, who was standing to the side of the ruck, attacked Wallaby halfback Nic White just as White placed his hands on the ball. The timing of Crockett's run was almost pinpoint, and if he did tackle White before he touched the ball, it was a close-run thing.
Australia quick-tapped the resulting penalty, so play carried on. After another All Black infringement for off-side half a minute later, referee Jaco Peyper went back to Crockett and showed him yellow for "cynical" play. Harsh call.
68th minute: Israel Folau went to ground in a tackle but didn't completely control the ball. Before a ruck had formed, Barrett ran through the tackle area heading towards the All Blacks' goal line and kicked the ball away in that direction. Peyper said Barrett was not entitled to play the tackle ball because he hadn't entered the tackle area "through the gate" - that is, he hadn't come from behind the tackler or the tackled player. The card was shown because Barrett had "spoiled a very good ball". Fair enough.
