Rugby: Sam Warburton donates his entire Lions kit to a charity shop in Cardiff

British and Irish Lions captain Sam Warburton has donated his entire tour kit to a charity shop in Cardiff.

The 28-year-old led the Lions touring party for the second time in his career after captaining the side in their 2013 series triumph in Australia.

After missing the defeat in the first Test through injury, Warburton returned to captain the Lions in game two and three of their drawn Test series with the All Blacks.

The flanker tweeted a picture of him with two bags of rugby kit outside the charity shop in Rhiwbina, north Cardiff.

This isn't the first time the Welsh international player has given his kit away to charity.

Warburton made the same gesture in 2015 after the Rugby World Cup and in 2016 following the end of the Six Nations campaign in February.
