A rare All Blacks jersey worn by the late Sir Colin Meads has gone up for auction in the UK.
Listed by British company Mullock's Specialist Auctioneers and Valuers, the jersey worn by the tough lock in 1970 during his last overseas tour with the All Blacks.
Thesigned jersey, which was worn by Meads against the Springboks at South Africa's Ellis Park, was listed with a guide price between NZ$11,678 and NZ$15,571.
Meads, who passed away in August 2017 after a battle with cancer, captained the All Blacks on 55 occasions and is widely regarded as one of the best players to step foot on a rugby field.
Meads was named Player of the Century at the New Zealand Rugby Awards dinner in 1999, is a member of both the World Rugby Hall of Fame and the New Zealand Sports Hall of Fame, and was a member of the International Rugby Hall of Fame before its merger with the World Rugby Hall in 2014.
The King Country stalwart, who played in more than 130 matches for the province, and was honoured with a statue in his hometown of Te Kuiti, which was unveiled during the 2017 British and Irish Lions tour.
