Events
* Mid-1980s: The Mt Albert club applies to join the Winfield Cup.
* 1993: Auckland Rugby League granted a licence.
* Auckland Warriors first game March 1995 v Brisbane Broncos, lost 25-22.
* March 1997: Chief executive Ian Robson replaced by Bill MacGowan.
* May 1997: Coach John Monie sacked and replaced by assistant Frank Endacott.
* October 1998: The ARL sells to Tainui. Endacott and MacGowan not reappointed.
* Late 1999: Receiver Michael Stiassny appionted as financial advisor as Tainui hits money troubles.
* July 2000: Stiassny tells Tainui the club needs more than $1 million injected to keep it afloat to the end of the season. The money is not forthcoming. Stiassny resigns as a director.
* August 2000: The New Zealand Rugby League buys the club for $400,000.
* October 2000: Cullen Investments buys the majority shareholding in the club, major player clear-out, coach Mark Graham not reappointed.
* September 2001: Warriors make the playoffs for the first time, well beaten by Parramatta.
* October 2002: Warriors are minor premiers and make the grand final, losing 30-6 to the Roosters.
* October 2003: Eliminated one game from the grand final by eventual premiers Penrith.
* April 2004: Star player Ali Lauitiiti sacked.
* May 2004: Coach Daniel Anderson removed after a 58-6 loss to Sydney Roosters. Assistant Tony Kemp appointed until 2007.
* March 2005: Test centre Vinnie Anderson released.
* April 2005: Club icon Stacey Jones finally confirms a year of speculation that he is going to England.
