Earlier, Wakefield head coach Daryl Powell would not confirm whether there had been talks with Tuivasa-Sheck, but said to the BBCthere would be interest in a player such as him.

“There’s nothing that I can say at the moment, I think, you know, nothing I can say,” Powell said.
“We’ve got a game tomorrow and I’m focused on that. I think we’re an ambitious club, absolutely, you can see that with the signings that we’ve made, and if Roger Tuivasa-Sheck’s on the market, then you’re probably going to be interested, aren’t you?
“I haven’t really got anything to say other than he’s an unbelievable player and that’s it.”
In the same interview, Powell said the former All Black could have an instant impact in Super League.

“I think just him as a player, a dual international, having played for the iconic All Blacks, whoever is able to sign Roger, being able to bring a player of that magnitude to Super League is a big thing.
“And then he’s still playing every week in the NRL and looking pretty sharp, so yeah, I think he’d have a big impact in this comp.”
Tonight, the winger will start against the Wests Tigers at Go Media Stadium alongside returning playmaker Luke Metcalf as the Warriors look to win their fourth game in a row and stay at the top of the NRL ladder. Kickoff is at 8pm.
