Many said he should have been in the NSW Origin side last year but now James Maloney has a chance to impress coach Ricky Stuart in 2012 after being named to attend an emerging Blues Origin camp in Sydney next week.
The five-eighth played a key role in the Warriors'march to the NRL grand final and it sparked a bidding war for his services in 2013 - he's already signed to join the Sydney Roosters next year.
The players will enter camp with former Blues forwards Glen Lazarus and Steven Roach next Friday at Coogee for a weekend of skills sessions, lectures and team building activities.
