League: Price could be called up by Australia

The door has opened a little wider for Warriors skipper Steve Price to make the step up to test football.

Incumbent Kangaroos prop Shane Webcke has announced his retirement from international league, due to a chronic knee injury.

Price is among a half a dozen candidates tipped to be in the running as a replacement.

Others include Bulldogs front rower Mark O'Meley, Dragons teammates Luke Bailey and Jason Ryles, Penrith's Joel Clinton and Webcke's fellow Bronco Petero Civoniceva.
