Warriors quiz: How to spot a bandwagon fan

The New Zealand Warriors are back in the NRL playoffs for the first time in seven years.

Stephen Kearney's men take on the Penrith Panthers on Saturday night as they look to make a run towards a third grand finals appearance.

It's been a tough few years for Warriors fans and it's at this time of a successful year that bandwagon fans may jump on board.

The Warriors haven't played finals football since reaching the grand final in 2011, where they lost to Manly.

They are of course welcome to support the team. Maybe our quiz will help educate a bandwagon fan to help them blend in on gameday.

The Warriors could be at full strength on Saturday.

Five-eighth Blake Green will return on Saturday as expected, after missing the last two matches with a calf injury, while prop James Gavet is also back after a late scratching before the Raiders match last Friday with a knee strain.

The biggest doubt hangs over Simon Mannering (sternum) and Roger Tuivasa-Sheck (ankle), though coach Stephen Kearney expects they will both take the field at ANZ Stadium on Saturday evening.

Mannering is making encouraging progress and took some part in a session yesterday, though stayed away from the contact work.

Tuivasa-Sheck did some work in the gym then watched the training from the sideline, still protecting his sprained left ankle in a brace.

The Warriors depart for Sydney this afternoon. ​
